The iHome iW1 is the ultimate audio experience for iTunes and iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, and iPod enthusiasts. Using Apple's AirPlay wireless audio streaming technology, the iW1 enables music playback anywhere you have a home Wi-Fi network. The iW1 can receive music from AirPlay sources such as iTunes, your Apple TV, iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. The iW1 also supports charging and local audio playback via USB by using the USB sync cable. The iW1 features the Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station for real-time digital signal processing that extends audio bandwidth and adds missing harmonics without adding peak output to the signal. It effectively improves brightness, clarity and presence, and delivers deeper, more resonant bass and crystal clear highs. Adjustable bass and treble controls let you customize your sound.
Remote control of streaming music playback can be done from the speaker control panel and from the included IR remote, and supports play/pause, next track, previous track, and volume control of your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and iTunes music playback. You can charge and play your iPod, iPad & iPhone through the USB port using the included USB sync cable, or using any iPod USB sync cable. A 3.5mm auxiliary input allows you to connect almost any other music player.
AirPlay works wherever there is a Wi-Fi network. Simple & quick wireless network setup is done with iHome Connect, a FREE app available on the App Store. Launch the App and connect to the speaker with the included USB sync cable and follow simple on-screen menus to configure Wi-Fi. Enjoy AirPlay in just a few short minutes after un-boxing.The iHome iW1 is Wi-Fi CERTIFIED for 802.11b & 802.11g, assurance that the Wi-Fi Alliance has tested a product in numerous configurations and with a diverse sampling of other devices to ensure compatibility with other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED equipment that operates in the same frequency band.
