Multi-Colored Glass Galileo Thermometer
Beautiful floating glass spheres indicate room temperature
Galileo Galilei, the pioneer of modern physics and astronomy, could never have imagined that the remarkable thermometer he invented four centuries ago, would become such an intriguing and eye-catching home decoration today.
Our thermometer is a unique-looking cylinder filled with colorful spheres that float in a special liquid. The temperature is measured as spheres of different weights rise and fall. The lowest floating sphere in the upper part of the cylinder tells the correct temperature.
Standing 15" tall, this thermometer is housed in a handsome cherry finish wood base, has a temperature range of 66º to 84ºF in 4º increments and comes boxed and ready for gift giving.
Makes a wonderful gift!
